Venture partnerships, not free development
Most of our work is paid product development. Separately, and selectively, we partner on a small number of products as the product and technology side of the company, in exchange for equity. This page exists so both models stay honest about what they are.
What the partnership is
We take the product and engineering role in a company we believe in: scoping, design, build, release and iteration. It is a long-term commitment with a small number of partners at a time, which is why selection is slow and deliberate.
Selection criteria
- A market we can understand well enough to make product decisions in.
- A founder who owns the domain, the customers and the go-to-market.
- A product where software is the core of the value, not a side tool.
- A scope that can reach real users inside a few months.
What we expect from you
- You stay the founder: company, customers, fundraising and commercial direction are yours.
- You are available weekly for product decisions — this is not a hand-off.
- Legal structure, equity split and vesting are agreed in writing before we start.
What we bring
- Product design and scoping: what to build first and what to cut.
- Engineering: web, iOS and Android, plus infrastructure and releases.
- Product operations: analytics, iteration and store presence.
How the decision is made
We read every application ourselves. If the fit looks real, we run one call about the market and one about product scope, then give a clear yes or no. If it is a no, you get the reason.
When this is not the right fit
- You need work delivered on a fixed date for a client of yours.
- You want a build with no equity conversation but no budget either.
- You are looking for a contractor to execute a finished specification — that is our paid engagement.
